llms.txt: The One-Page Brochure You Hand to Every AI Assistant
When a traveler asks an assistant for 'a food tour in Lisbon under €60', the assistant has seconds to decide which sites to read. llms.txt is your answer to that time pressure: a curated, plain-markdown index of your best pages, sitting at a predictable URL.
The format is deliberately boring. A title, a one-line description of your business, then sections of links with short annotations: your top tours with prices, your booking page, your cancellation policy, your meeting-point page. That's it.
Two mistakes we see constantly: treating it as a sitemap dump (hundreds of links help nobody) and writing marketing copy instead of facts. Agents want 'Sunset kayak tour — 2h, from $59, daily Apr–Oct', not 'an unforgettable journey across shimmering waters'.
Publish it, then re-scan. It's a twenty-point swing in our Discovery category for twenty minutes of work.
